Fiona Morcom has over 20 years experience working in UK Emergency Departments and Critical Care. As a Clinical Development Sister and Emergency Nurse Practitioner at the Lister Hospital Accident & Emergency Department she developed and ran the first Silent Weapons courses in the United Kingdom in 2003. The course was subsequently adopted by the Health Protection Agency as a national training programme throughout the UK. Working with the HPA Fiona and Appleseed recently updated the Silent Weapons Course and relaunched in May 2008. Fiona contributed to the Health Protection Agency Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear handbook and the online training module "Clinical management of CBRN injuries".
